I just wrote a 1,000+ word blog on here, decided to try to put a link in, and lost it all! OMG! I’m just floored! Why does it say draft saved when it’s not saving it?!? Ok, so here we go AGAIN! I was going to write another one for Blogger anyways…. Just different. I don’t like writing about the same things over and over.
So things have calmed down in my crazy, hectic, scattered life. I’m happy right now. This is a good thing 🙂 I have my middle Noodle for a couple weeks, all of the Noodles were out of school yesterday, my bf and I are doing good, life is just A – OK right now! I think shedding a few people out of my life was much needed. I don’t feel like a four year old anymore 🙂 I was lonely there for a minute, and was sad not to have a mom, but then I had a very nice lady offer to be my mom, even though she’s in Wisconsin and I’m in Washington. We’re a lot a like but total opposites with brands of stuff. It’s funny! Thank you Karen! I Luv U!
Yesterday was the last day of school for the Noodles! They did it, another year down! I asked each of them what they liked best about the grades they were in this year, and this is what they said. I’ll start with the oldest Noodle. This was his first year of high school. He had a lot of trouble and made a lot of poor choices this year, so I was a little afraid of his answer. He said his favorite part of the year was making new friends! I was so surprised! This was the first year of high school at a new school with new people. I knew he’d make friends 🙂 The girl step Noodle said her favorite part was math and science. This was her first year at the middle school, 6th grade. She said she liked having all the different teachers, but around the middle of the year it became tiring. She’s done really well considering all she has gone through in the past year. All A’s and B’s! 9 year old, middle Noodle said his favorite part of 3rd grade was P.E. It took a while to get anything out of him! The boy step Noodle said his favorite part of 1st grade was P.E. too! The youngest boy Noodle said his favorite part of kindergarten was the assemblies! The stuff these kiddos came up with were pretty awesome. Youngest boy Noodle has come so far and is doing so well! I’m SO proud of each of these Noodles, as they have all had a hard year personally.
I finally started on the Shrinky Dinks! It’s so much fun! I love designing them myself. I have so many plans on what I’m going to make. I started off with the idea of making a charm bracelet. I printed off a few pictures that I had taken that day, cut them, punched them, and put them in the oven. Then I almost had a heart attack! It’s so stressful! I guess you could say that I stress easily 😉 If you’re still here reading this, Thank You! I tend to write a lot, and I just feel like it’s hopelessly boring! I’m going to do some reading on how to spice up your blog. Ok, back to the Dinks. Here are the first ones I made. You can’t really tell who the picture is of. I printed them as contact size and they shrank about 1/2 to 1/3 from that size! So, they’re TINY! That little heart says 12/28, which is the youngest Noodle’s birthday. Phew! So I wasn’t really happy with how they turned out. I’m sure if they would’ve been bigger they would have looked better. And maybe if they would have been edited better before hand. But we are our own worst critic. I still doubt I’ll be wearing it as a charm bracelet, or anything!
The next three are just part of a little series I’m calling Peace, Love, and Puppy Dogs! The name came to me while I was writing this the first time, and little Marley was sleeping on my lap. I had the Peace and the Love parts, but didn’t know what to put with them. I was going to have all you readers post what the third part should be and the lucky winner would have the satisfaction of knowing they had the best response and I’m probably gonna be kind of a big deal one of these days 😉 Peace, Love, and Puppy Dogs 🙂 I love this picture of Marley. He was doing the cute little crooked head thing and the pic was a little blurry, so I decided to put some stickers on him. Something that I NEVER do. He does look pretty snazzy though! I love that dog Noodle!
And finally the last of the Shrinky Dinks for now, the Father’s Day presents. I need to buy some bigger jump rings and redo step girl Noodle’s dink, then they’ll be done. I’m pretty proud of myself for finishing this project, especially for one of the father’s who I greatly despise. I could care less if he accidentally slipped, fell, and landed on his head. Oh! Did that just come out of my fingers?!? I meant, I don’t wish any harm, because I don’t want my child to get upset, but I really do not like the man. These were fun to do. I had each of the kids do silly poses or jumping in the air, took their pictures, edited them the way I was shown, printed them as wallet sized pictures, cut them out as best as I could without cutting off limbs, punched them, put them in the oven, and watched them do their dance of magic. Once they were finished I sprayed a finishing spray on them. I’ve also seen people use a clear coat of fingernail polish on them. Once they were cooled I took the jump hooks and put them through the ridiculously small hole. They almost didn’t fit! After the jump hooks were put in I put them on a key chain. Girl Noodle’s broke while I was putting the jump hook in, so I’ll have to redo hers and update this blog when I do! Here they are! *9———————————————————————————-The first one is my absolute most favorite! I just love it! They all did a great job even though they didn’t want to do it. The group picture is all five of the Noodles plus Marley, Jackson, and Violet. It’s a great photo of them all. They really are some great kids. I love all five of them with all my heart.
For the past couple of days I have been busy looking at easy DIY craft ideas on Pinterest and on blogs. Man you should see my Evernote! It is so full of projects to do, I’ll never get them all done! I love finding new things to do though. It amazes me the artistic abilities of people. I really wish I was that good at arts and crafts. If I do at least half of the projects I want to do, our house will be totally redone! It’s in need too! Here’s a picture of my Evernote Notebooks. Each one is a notebook, and inside are the notes. The number in the parentheses is the amount of notes in that Notebook. Anyone want to get together and help a girl out? It would be fun! I have some year old Shock Top in the fridge! Anyways, as this last night of fighting with the Noodles to get to bed comes to a draw, I will close my eyes and dream big. If you stuck it out through this whole post, THANK YOU! I wish there was something I could do for you! I promise not to go so long in between posts next time and maybe there won’t be as much to write about! Have a great night of great dreams, and there will be more to come in a couple days 😉
