The World of Charm Making With A Question!

(Copied from my Facebook)
Hello everyone ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m about to venture of into an unfamiliar path of charm making! I’ve practiced making them With shrink plastic, so I’m going to use that and then I saw a tutorial where they put ultra thick embossing enamel on the charm and threw some beads on. It looked so cool, so I’m going to try it! Give my stuff a little extra uniqueness ๐Ÿ˜‰ my question for all of you is, what is the best brand of ultra thick embossing enamel to use? What’s its main purpose? What else can I use it for? Thank you in advance for all of your replies!

Peace, Love, and Towel Basket!!!

I hardly ever can come up with a title! I’ve always had a problem labeling things. Anyways, things have calmed down in my little dramatic life, and I’m happy right now. I have my boy for a couple weeks, everyone will be out of school tomorrow, the bf and I are doing great, my middle noodle that has Absence Seizures is doing a lot better. He’s down to about one a day from seven to eight! Yay for medicine! The only downfall is that when he does have them, they have become more severe. For instance before the medication was started he just looked like he was zoning out. Now his eyes roll back and he actually convulses. It’s scary and I don’t like it at all! I feel so bad for him. His activities are limited because of them. Let’s just hope he grows out of them.

Tomorrow is the last day of school! I can’t believe the time has already come. It feels like the first day was just yesterday. The smallest noodle has learned so much. I love it! He is getting the reading thing down real good. I asked him what his favorite part of kindergarten was and he said, “Umm… The assemblies.” He said it in this tone like I should have known that already! The middle noodle said P.E. was his favorite part of 3rd grade. The almost adult noodle said his favorite part of being in high school was meeting new people. He had a hard time this year, being a new school and moving and all that stuff. Hopefully next year will be better! The girl noodle said that her favorite part of 6th grade was math and science, and she started middle school so she had all those different classes. She liked that part but said it got tiring after about half way through. The boy step noodle

So that’s what all those wet little noodles said about their school years! They think it’s pretty cool that I’m typing that up and people are going to see it. Children are just amazing little creatures. I just love them!

Well, I finished the wicker basket project. I’m not completely done. I want to buy the next two smaller sized baskets for the hand towels and washcloths. I spent too much money though, so it’ll have to wait until next pay day ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Makes me sad. Here’s the end result of the big towel basket.10313159_10152151960672957_3380974108397160631_nThe towels are in the dryer right now, so I’ll post another pic when they’re all folded and put away. I’m a little excited about it ๐Ÿ™‚ Jeff did a great job helping me out with this. I wouldn’t have been able to get it to work without his wonderful brain! Gotta love a man with some good brains ๐Ÿ˜‰

SHRINKY DINKS ARE EVERYWHERE!!!! I went a little crazy, but man they are so much fun! They are even stressful at times. Like when they’re shrinking in the oven. I keep thinking they’re going to stick to each other when they get all deformed, but they haven’t yet! This “I Love You” hand, in ASL, scared me the most! 10440751_10152158356852957_602966215149095860_nWhen it started to deform/shrink, it came up like a scary hand coming out of something. Like something you’d see at Halloween time! I thought the fingers were going to get stuck in the middle, but they sure didn’t! I drew this one free hand, colored with Sharpie Ultra Fine Permanent Markers, and Sakura Gelly Roll pens. It’s the biggest piece I have done so far, and as you can see it isn’t very big. This next one was done to go with the hand, peace, love, and ???????10394592_10152158357002957_3243775107970100801_n

Such a tiny little rascal! It was also done free hand with Sharpies and Gelly Rolls. I haven’t made the third piece to go with these two yet. I’m not sure yet what it will be. So many things can go with peace and love. Maybe I’ll just have you guys pick for me! It’s so much easier that way ๐Ÿ˜‰ Peace, Love, and ?????? Whichever one I pick will get the satisfaction of naming my third piece, and I might just be famous someday, ya know? It just came to me! Peace, Love, and Puppy Dogs!!! I forgot all about Marley’s little Shrinky Dink! Peace, Love, and Puppy Dogs. That has a nice ring to it ๐Ÿ™‚ Sorry guys, I figured it out on my own this time, but I’m sure there will be another time I’ll need ya!10418162_10152158356932957_449499456886957276_n

Here are the very first Dinks I did. They’re really small and really hard to see, but I know who is in every one of them. Probably because I took the pictures, edited them, printed them, cut them out, and shrunk them! 10246642_10152158379582957_8453944671322028574_n

Basically there are all of the Noodles plus Marley, Jackson, and Violet. The little heart says, “12-28” which is the youngest Noodles birthday. I had in mind making a charm bracelet when I was making this one. I definitely need to get some bigger jump rings, and I’m going to start buying beads! UH OH! Another thing to spend my money on! I’m not going to use them very much, so I’ll be very selective and they will be very nice beads. No cheapo’s here! Hopefully I can sell some of this stuff and start making some money. I have three books coming hopefully this week or at the latest, next week. I can’t wait to get them! They’re all Shrinky Dink stuff, but more sophisticated than the stuff you usually associate with them. Here are the Father’s Day gifts I made with the help of the Noodles. That’s it for Shrinky Dinks until those books come! I need to get back to tangling. I miss it! 10365978_10152158386702957_6906700165892685955_n 10303806_10152158381747957_5642906650345186119_n 10402594_10152158381687957_1639398381472963601_n 10156133_10152158381572957_661390972152522847_n

I’ve spent the past few days looking at DIY projects on Pinterest and a ton of different blogs. You should see my “Crafts To Do List” in Evernote…. Hahahahahaha! Our house is going to be totally redone. It’s in need of a complete make over anyways. Just take a look at that list. I’m a little overwhelmed too, but it’s my own fault! I like looking at things to do, like planning it all out, and then never do it because I don’t feel as if I’m good enough to do the craft. UntitledWell, I think I should probably be done for now. This is probably the longest blog post EVER, and everyone probably stopped reading about 2 sentences in! If you lasted the whole blog, thank you ๐Ÿ™‚ Now on to write another one on Blogger! No re-blogging here! It’s going to be completely different. Can you believe that I actually have more to write about?!? Phew! Have a nice day ๐Ÿ™‚Logo

OMG!!! And People Wonder Why I’m Crazy!!!

I just wrote a 1,000+ word blog on here, decided to try to put a link in, and lost it all! OMG! I’m just floored! Why does it say draft saved when it’s not saving it?!? Ok, so here we go AGAIN! I was going to write another one for Blogger anyways…. Just different. I don’t like writing about the same things over and over.

So things have calmed down in my crazy, hectic, scattered life. I’m happy right now. This is a good thing ๐Ÿ™‚ I have my middle Noodle for a couple weeks, all of the Noodles were out of school yesterday, my bf and I are doing good, life is just A – OK right now! I think shedding a few people out of my life was much needed. I don’t feel like a four year old anymore ๐Ÿ™‚ I was lonely there for a minute, and was sad not to have a mom, but then I had a very nice lady offer to be my mom, even though she’s in Wisconsin and I’m in Washington. We’re a lot a like but total opposites with brands of stuff. It’s funny! Thank you Karen! I Luv U!

Yesterday was the last day of school for the Noodles! They did it, another year down! I asked each of them what they liked best about the grades they were in this year, and this is what they said. I’ll start with the oldest Noodle. This was his first year of high school. He had a lot of trouble and made a lot of poor choices this year, so I was a little afraid of his answer. He said his favorite part of the year was making new friends! I was so surprised! This was the first year of high school at a new school with new people. I knew he’d make friends ๐Ÿ™‚ The girl step Noodle said her favorite part was math and science. This was her first year at the middle school, 6th grade. She said she liked having all the different teachers, but around the middle of the year it became tiring. She’s done really well considering all she has gone through in the past year. All A’s and B’s! 9 year old, middle Noodle said his favorite part of 3rd grade was P.E. It took a while to get anything out of him! The boy step Noodle said his favorite part of 1st grade was P.E. too! The youngest boy Noodle said his favorite part ofย  kindergarten was the assemblies! The stuff these kiddos came up with were pretty awesome. Youngest boy Noodle has come so far and is doing so well! I’m SO proud of each of these Noodles, as they have all had a hard year personally.

I finally started on the Shrinky Dinks! It’s so much fun! I love designing them myself. I have so many plans on what I’m going to make. I started off with the idea of making a charm bracelet. I printed off a few pictures that I had taken that day, cut them, punched them, and put them in the oven. Then I almost had a heart attack! It’s so stressful! I guess you could say that I stress easily ๐Ÿ˜‰ If you’re still here reading this, Thank You! I tend to write a lot, and I just feel like it’s hopelessly boring! I’m going to do some reading on how to spice up your blog. Ok, back to the Dinks. Here are the first ones I made. You can’t really tell who the picture is of. I printed them as contact size and they shrank about 1/2 to 1/3 from that size! So, they’re TINY! That little heart says 12/28, which is the youngest Noodle’s birthday.10409454_10152158379852957_7370527572734549320_n 10444777_10152158379067957_6871489396360595975_n 10446602_10152158379797957_8302633021529418606_n 10463942_10152158379382957_2988147120930084804_n 10177352_10152158378547957_2456759247372232538_n 10246642_10152158379582957_8453944671322028574_n 10260014_10152158379732957_8739317664236673457_nPhew! So I wasn’t really happy with how they turned out. I’m sure if they would’ve been bigger they would have looked better. And maybe if they would have been edited better before hand. But we are our own worst critic. I still doubt I’ll be wearing it as a charm bracelet, or anything!

The next three are just part of a little series I’m calling Peace, Love, and Puppy Dogs! The name came to me while I was writing this the first time, and little Marley was sleeping on my lap. I had the Peace and the Love parts, but didn’t know what to put with them. I was going to have all you readers post what the third part should be and the lucky winner would have the satisfaction of knowing they had the best response and I’m probably gonna be kind of a big deal one of these days ๐Ÿ˜‰ 10394592_10152158357002957_3243775107970100801_n10440751_10152158356852957_602966215149095860_nย  10418162_10152158356932957_449499456886957276_nPeace, Love, and Puppy Dogs ๐Ÿ™‚ I love this picture of Marley. He was doing the cute little crooked head thing and the pic was a little blurry, so I decided to put some stickers on him. Something that I NEVER do. He does look pretty snazzy though! I love that dog Noodle!

And finally the last of the Shrinky Dinks for now, the Father’s Day presents. I need to buy some bigger jump rings and redo step girl Noodle’s dink, then they’ll be done. I’m pretty proud of myself for finishing this project, especially for one of the father’s who I greatly despise. I could care less if he accidentally slipped, fell, and landed on his head. Oh! Did that just come out of my fingers?!? I meant, I don’t wish any harm, because I don’t want my child to get upset, but I really do not like the man. These were fun to do. I had each of the kids do silly poses or jumping in the air, took their pictures, edited them the way I was shown, printed them as wallet sized pictures, cut them out as best as I could without cutting off limbs, punched them, put them in the oven, and watched them do their dance of magic. Once they were finished I sprayed a finishing spray on them. I’ve also seen people use a clear coat of fingernail polish on them. Once they were cooled I took the jump hooks and put them through the ridiculously small hole. They almost didn’t fit! After the jump hooks were put in I put them on a key chain. Girl Noodle’s broke while I was putting the jump hook in, so I’ll have to redo hers and update this blog when I do! Here they are!10365978_10152158386702957_6906700165892685955_n 10156133_10152158381572957_661390972152522847_n 10402594_10152158381687957_1639398381472963601_n 10303806_10152158381747957_5642906650345186119_n *9———————————————————————————-10390394_10152158381777957_8263043199934959001_nThe first one is my absolute most favorite! I just love it! They all did a great job even though they didn’t want to do it. The group picture is all five of the Noodles plus Marley, Jackson, and Violet. It’s a great photo of them all. They really are some great kids. I love all five of them with all my heart.

For the past couple of days I have been busy looking at easy DIY craft ideas on Pinterest and on blogs. Man you should see my Evernote! It is so full of projects to do, I’ll never get them all done! I love finding new things to do though. It amazes me the artistic abilities of people. I really wish I was that good at arts and crafts. If I do at least half of the projects I want to do, our house will be totally redone! It’s in need too! Here’s a picture of my Evernote Notebooks. Each one is a notebook, and inside are the notes. The number in the parentheses is the amount of notes in that Notebook.ย Untitled Anyone want to get together and help a girl out? It would be fun! I have some year old Shock Top in the fridge! Anyways, as this last night of fighting with the Noodles to get to bed comes to a draw, I will close my eyes and dream big. If you stuck it out through this whole post, THANK YOU! I wish there was something I could do for you! I promise not to go so long in between posts next time and maybe there won’t be as much to write about! Have a great night of great dreams, and there will be more to come in a couple days ๐Ÿ˜‰Logo

Just a rant today

I have to get this out and I know that the people who do read this will most likely already know, or not care one bit. I cannot stand my so called family!

From Urban Dictionary:
“sideline hater
A fake friend who secretly wishes you to fail at everything.
Since my friend Jon secretly wanted me to get my ass beat in a fight, he was being a sideline hater.”

This is how I feel my family feels about me. They’re always cheering me on, but cheering that I’ll do the wrong thing. Mostly so they have something to gossip about.

I divorced my family about 2 weeks ago. I told the princess, my sister, that she can have fun finding someone to do her job for her and get paid next to nothing for it. I told my mom I was done with the way she treats me and my children. We are never Good enough for her anymore. Ever since she moved to Ellensburg, which is about 1/2 hour away, she never has time for us. So I told her to go have fun with the prince and the princess.
I haven’t heard a word since. Well besides the nasty text from my sister telling me it’s not all about me! Hahaha no I forgot bitch. It’s all about you!

So from now on I’m going to start working on myself and getting better. It’s going to be hard and I’m going to have days where I just say fuck it all, but I won’t let this disease get me. It’s not going to disable me. I want to work again. I want to stay home and do my crafts all day too. Looks like I’m going to have to start finding a way to sell these crafts!

Ugh Ok I took a half an hour “break” to try to do something and to do some stuff for my 6 year old, and I don’t know how I’m going to be able to do this. I can’t even nail a freaking basket to the wall! Well I can, but when the towels get put in it the stupid thing falls down. I was going to have Jeff just do it when he gets home, but I’m just going to have him get me the nails I need. Mine must be too small. I am going to do this!
Then I was trying to figure out how to make my shrinky dinks lighter on the computer because everything says they will get much darker when you shrink them. Well how in the hell am I supposed to do that? I’m using Photoshop Lightroom. Maybe I should try another program and figure out how to decrease the opacity. I don’t know. Do any of you? Please help! I’m a perfectionist and don’t like to fail!

Ok enough for today. I have all these emotions going through me from wanting to cry because of my family and because I can’t nail a damn basket to the wall. I want to just give up on all art because I have so much stuff and don’t know what to do with it, I have become overwhelmed. So good bye for now! I promise my next post will be a “happy I did it! “Post ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here’s all of the stuff I bought Sunday for my crafts.

image

The mixed media boards I’mย  going to paint different colors, put some words on it that look like aged newsprint, and tangle my heart away. I have some boxes I want to paint and tangle too. I like the look of the wood through the tangles, but I hate how it kills my pen just to draw on the wood. So pretty paint it will be! There’s also a jewelry making kit in there so I can make some shrinky dink jewelery. There are 3 books that I’m going to order ASAP to get me going on that. But I bought some shrinky dink material for the printer to try it out on too. So that’s where all my money went this weekend! I gotta start selling stuff to keep up with my buying!
