Weekly Photo Challenge: Texture

I have never done this before, a photo challenge, and I’m a little nervous, but here it goes! (

Yesterday, August 7th, a portion of our family went on a little day trip to Lake Roosevelt, and Grand Coulee Dam which is in northern Washington state. I hadn’t been up that way in a long time, so I was a little Camera happy!

One of our stops was at the Dry Falls Observatory. This place is amazing. According to Wikipedia, “at five times the width of Niagara, Dry Falls is thought to be the greatest known waterfall that ever existed.”

As you can see, the landscape is dry and would go up in flames easily. That’s why I was so surprised to see this pretty, soft, Colorful moss growing on a cement block.

Pretty natural texture

Here is a picture of the mossy cement block with my beautiful children 😉

I love many things; my boys, recovery, painting, drawing, crocheting, knitting, and the list goes on. Recovery from PTSD and addiction. Acrylic and watercolor painting. Soft yarn, in neutral colors. This is my place to ramble and not have to hear the judgements of others. Thank you.
