What in the heck am I doing?! I don’t write! I attempt to tangle, doodle to some.Β  In fact, I’ve been working on one piece for a few days now, and I don’t think it’s going to turn out like I want it to 😦 I need to get some expert advice on what to do!

So, I had never heard of Zentangle until I stumbled upon it on the Internet. Pretty much from day one, I have been hooked. I now have almost all of the books about Zentangle, a massive collection of Micron pens, and a set of fancy refillable Copic Multiliner SP. I’m addicted to buying supplies more than the hobby itself! I have more, but I doubt you really care about all that jazz! So anyways, here’s a little about me.

I am a single, 31 year old mother of the best three boys I’ve ever met. I do have a boyfriend and we live in sin together with his two kids 😈 I work with my sister at her daycare, and tangle my little heart out as much as possible.Β  TheΒ  pictures I have posted now are old projects that I’ve done. Now, just remember I just started this in February of 2014.

I had taken two art classes in junior high. One of the teachers ruined my confidence. I’ve never really been very artistic, but I’ve always wanted to be. I am so happy I found Zentangle! There are no mistakes! I love it! Ok enough rambling for now. Here is an oldie, but I kinda like it.

I love many things; my boys, recovery, painting, drawing, crocheting, knitting, and the list goes on. Recovery from PTSD and addiction. Acrylic and watercolor painting. Soft yarn, in neutral colors. This is my place to ramble and not have to hear the judgements of others. Thank you.

  1. That is *precisely* the reason I started Tangling! I didn’t think I had true artistic ability, but with Zentangle, you don’t need it. And having made pretty things with it, it has given me the courage to see if I *do* have some artistic ability hiding in there somewhere. πŸ™‚ One of the things I’ve decided about art though is that it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks about it. It’s what *I* think about my art that matters. If you are expressing yourself and your thoughts and emotions in a visual way, that’s art. πŸ™‚

    1. I agree with you Heather. Not one of my pieces doesn’t have a mistake. It usually happens when I’m almost done with it to! It takes all I have to not just throw it seat and start over. And it also amazes me how many people like the ones I don’t like! I was in a rut a while ago and I figured out that it was because I was trying ri please other people and not doing what I wanted to do. It really is what we want that matters and if people like it, that’s a bonus! Thanks for liking and commenting on my post πŸ™‚
